Lode started with a simple belief: the best outdoor gear comes from people who genuinely live the life it's built for.

We're climbers, explorers, storytellers, and problem-solvers. We spend our weekends on crags, in the mountains, and on the trails that inspire the products we create. Every decision we make is guided by our experiences outdoors and our belief that quality, community, and responsibility should never be compromised.

As Lode grows, our mission remains the same—to build products we're proud to use ourselves and a brand that gives back to the outdoor community that shaped us.

	Tom Founder - Brand Founder & Manager Tom's introduction to the outdoors came through his time serving in the Army, where an adventure training course sparked a passion for climbing, exploration, and life beyond the beaten path. That passion eventually led to the creation of Lode. Whether climbing in Norway or escaping to the open spaces of Dartmoor, Tom is happiest away from the crowds. Known within the team as the ideas man, he's constantly pushing new concepts, products, and possibilities for the future of the brand. For Tom, Lode is about proving that outdoor clothing can be done the right way—creating quality products, supporting the community, and building a business that has a positive impact on the people and places that inspire it.
	Jamie Co-Founder – Repair Technician & Brand Ambassador Jamie first discovered climbing through a friend who introduced him to indoor walls before taking him and Joel on a trip to the Peak District. A weekend spent climbing and sleeping in Robin Hood's Cave on Stanage was enough to spark a lifelong passion for adventure. Today, trad climbing remains at the heart of his outdoor life, with Bosigran holding a special place in his climbing story. Alongside Lode, Jamie runs a repair business and brings specialist knowledge in garment repair, fabric selection, and product durability. His passion lies in creating gear that lasts longer, performs better, and supports a more sustainable future for outdoor equipment.
	Joel Co-Founder - Photographer & Brand Ambassador Growing up in the countryside gave Joel an early connection to the outdoors, but it was after completing his training with the Royal Marines Band that climbing became a major part of his life. Drawn to wild places and adventurous routes, he found the perfect way to explore through multi-pitch trad climbing. As Lode's photographer, Joel captures the people, landscapes, and experiences that shape the brand. Inspired by expedition films and nature documentaries, he is passionate about telling authentic stories from the outdoors. Whether on the sea cliffs of Cornwall, the tors of Dartmoor, or the mountains of Eryri, Joel believes the best adventures are the ones shared with others.
	Paul Co-Founder – Customer Experience Lead & Brand Ambassador Paul's climbing journey began through scouting before developing into a lifelong passion during university. Since then, climbing has remained a constant, with sport climbing becoming his discipline of choice, and Trevor Quarry marking an important milestone as the location of his first outdoor lead. Away from the crag, Paul brings extensive experience in customer experience and direct-to-consumer ecommerce. His focus is on ensuring that every interaction with Lode reflects the welcoming and supportive nature of the climbing community. For Paul, great products are only part of the equation. Building a brand that helps more people discover climbing and feel part of the community is equally important.
